An official listing forMewgenicsrecently appeared on the Xbox Store, suggesting that the game will soon receive an Xbox release. The listing for the game appears to suggest it will launch for Xbox Series X/S, complete with Xbox achievements and support for keyboard and mouse. The store page also suggests thatthe new version ofMewgenicswill be published by indie game developer-publisher Nicalis, despite previous conflicts betweenMewgenicscreator Edmund McMillen and Nicalis. Neither Microsoft nor McMillen has officially announced an Xbox Series X/S release forMewgenicsyet.
Xbox is not the only platform set to receive its own port of the fan-favorite Steam game. McMillen previously showed off an in-development build ofMewgenicsfor the Nintendo Switch 2, teasing the strategy game making the jump to the Nintendo handheld console. The same post included a reply with another build for the game, gettingMewgenicsto run on a PlayStation 5 and suggesting thatMewgenicswill be headed to both consoles in the near future. A release date has not been confirmed forMewgenics' debut on either the Nintendo or Sony platforms.
